DMCH to organise symposium on Emergency Medicine & Trauma

Ludhiana, May 8, 2014: Department of Medicine and Emergency Medicine under the aegis of Indo-US Academic Council for Emergency and Trauma is organising symposium on Emergency Medicine ‘CAPITAL-EM-2014’ on 11th May (Sunday) in Dumra Auditorium from 9 am to 5 pm.
The scientific programmes, during the CME, has been designed for participants who deal or have an interest in Emergency Medicine and Trauma. Various experts from different medical specialties will be discussing different aspects of patient management in emergency.
AHA accredited BLS & ACLS programmes are being held at Government Medical College, Chandigarh from 8th May and will be held till 10th May   
According to Dr Sandeep Puri (Professor & Head of Medicine) and Dr Rajesh Mahajan (Professor of Medicine), with the advent of specialization of emergency medicine, the emergency departments in medical colleges and major hospital have seen a substantial change in the care of their patients, achieving shorter time of care, improving the time spent in the service, critically ill patients have more rapid and timely treatments thus decreasing morbidity and mortality. The forthcoming  CME is an initiative to foster the growth of Emergency Medicine and Trauma Science for the medicos and distinguished experts from different medical colleges of the country will speak on important issues.
