DLSA SHIFTS CHILD FROM WOMEN JAIL TO SWAMI GANGA NAND BHURI WALE TRUST BAL GHAR, MULLANPUR DAKHA

Ludhiana, May 3, 2019: An application was received in the Office of District Legal Services Authority, Ludhiana from Ms.Aarti w/o Suresh Kumar, an inmate at Woman Jail, Ludhiana, in which she had stated that she is facing trial in an FIR registered in 2017 and presently she is lodged in Woman Jail, Ludhiana and she is suffering from Tuberculosis (TB). She also informed that her two year child is also staying with her and due to her disease she is not able to take proper care of the child. Taking action on her application, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority Ludhiana, directed to the Jail Authorities to produce the child before Child Welfare Committee, Ludhiana, which later ordered that the child be shifted to Swami Ganga Nand Bhuri Wale Trust Bal Ghar, Mullanpur Dakha, District Ludhiana. With the sincere efforts of District Legal Services Authority, Ludhiana the ordeal of child putting up in jail ended and was protected to be infected by disease. The child is now residing at Swami Ganga Nand Bhuri Wale Trust Bal Ghar.
