Rohtak, December 30, 2025: In a major academic breakthrough, Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLC SUPVA), Rohtak, has successfully completed the long-pending degree projects of 40 Film & Television students from the 2018 batch. The shooting, delayed for several years, concluded today, bringing much-needed academic closure to affected students.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. Amit Arya visited the shooting location on the final day, interacted with students and faculty members, and lauded their resilience and commitment in completing the projects despite prolonged delays.
In addition to the 11 degree-projects of the 2018 batch, the university simultaneously completed the shooting of 10 long-shot films of the 2020 batch, 12 music video projects of the 2021 batch, six studio films of the 2023-24 batch, and six documentary films of the 2024-25 batch. Nearly 120 students benefited from the consolidated shooting schedule that commenced on September 21. All degree projects will be presented before the Jury in February 2026.
The breakthrough follows decisive administrative intervention under Vice-Chancellor Dr. Amit Arya, who prioritised the clearance of pending Film & TV projects soon after assuming charge. Dr. Amit Arya personally monitored a comprehensive restructuring of the production process - expediting approvals, ensuring timely procurement of equipment, strengthening logistical support, and engaging additional technical personnel to accelerate execution.
Addressing the students, VC Dr. Arya said, “The delay in these projects had created a cascading effect on current academic work. Completing them was essential for restoring academic continuity. With the collective effort of our faculty and the invaluable support of our shooting consultants and alumni, Hariom Kaushik and Abhimanyu, we have completed this work in a record 100 days.”
He further assured that the varsity is committed to academic regularisation and said that all remaining pending projects across batches would be completed within the next 18-24 months.
