CCS Haryana Agricultural University (HAU) has signed a licensing agreement with KDM Seeds & Infrastructure Private Limited, Khandwa, for the production and distribution of seeds of its newly developed high-yielding mustard variety RH-1975. The agreement is expected to ensure the availability of certified, high-quality seeds to farmers across Haryana and other northern states.

Hisar, August 4, 2026: CCS Haryana Agricultural University (HAU) has signed a licensing agreement with KDM Seeds & Infrastructure Private Limited, Khandwa, for the production and distribution of seeds of its newly developed high-yielding mustard variety RH-1975. The agreement is expected to ensure the availability of certified, high-quality seeds to farmers across Haryana and other northern states.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. B.R. Kamboj said that the university's scientists are continuously developing high-yielding and superior-quality crop varieties. He emphasized that making these improved varieties available to farmers through collaboration with the private sector is a key priority. Such partnerships, he said, will help farmers gain access to modern agricultural technologies and reliable seeds, ultimately enhancing crop productivity and farm income.
The licensing agreement was signed by Director Research Dr. Rajbir Garg on behalf of HAU and Subhash Mehta, Chairman of KDM Seeds & Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd., in the presence of Vice-Chancellor Prof. B.R. Kamboj. Senior scientists and university officials were also present on the occasion.
Key Features of RH-1975 Mustard Variety
The RH-1975 mustard variety has an average yield potential of 11–12 quintals per acre, which can increase to 14–15 quintals per acre under favorable conditions. It contains approximately 39.5% oil, making it an attractive choice for farmers. The variety has been recommended for irrigated areas of Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Jammu, and northern Rajasthan.
