Dental Institute, Panjab University Organises Successful Blood Donation Camp in Collaboration with PGIMER Blood Bank

Chandigarh, December 4, 2025: The Dental Institute, Panjab University (PU), in partnership with the Blood Bank, Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, today organised a Blood Donation Camp.
As many as 63 units of blood were donated in the blood donation camp.
Addressing the function, PU Registrar Prof. Y. P. Verma, lauded the initiative taken by the Dental Institute and emphasised the vital role that educational institutions play in creating awareness about the importance of blood donation. He commended the donors for their humane gesture and encouraged students to continue participating in such noble causes, highlighting that a single unit of donated blood has the power to save multiple lives.
Speaking about the initiative, Principal Cum Professor, Dr Deepak Kumar Gupta expressed his gratitude to PU authorities, the Dental Institute faculty, and the PGI Blood Bank team for their support. He also emphasised the importance of organizing such camps regularly to meet the increasing demand for blood in hospitals and emergency care settings.
