Rohtak, May 2, 2026: In a major boost to scientific aquaculture and farmer convenience, Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta today flagged off a Mobile Water Testing Lab Van aimed at providing on-site water quality testing for fish farmers.
The initiative, launched under the Fisheries Department, will ensure that farmers receive free testing reports at their ponds within 30 minutes, eliminating the need for laboratory visits.
The mobile van will Visit fish ponds across villages, Collect water samples on-site, Provide instant test reports within 30 minutes and Offer scientific guidance for corrective measures.
On the inaugural day, water samples were tested in villages including Sundarpur, Gharothi, Indergarh, and Chandi. It is a Free & Hassle-Free Service for Farmers. The mobile lab will test around 10 critical parameters, including pH level, Dissolved Oxygen (DO), Salinity, Alkalinity, Total Hardness, Calcium & Magnesium, Ammonia and Nitrate & Nitrite.
