DC Sachin Gupta calls upon to make students digitally and financially literate

Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta has directed principals of colleges and ITIs to make students digitally literate along with their traditional courses. The Deputy Commissioner was addressing a meeting of principals of district colleges and ITIs today at the Mini Secretariat auditorium. He said that once digitally literate, students will be able to use the digital world in a safe and empowered manner.

Rohtak, August 27, 2025: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta has directed principals of colleges and ITIs to make students digitally literate along with their traditional courses. The Deputy Commissioner was addressing a meeting of principals of district colleges and ITIs today at the Mini Secretariat auditorium. He said that once digitally literate, students will be able to use the digital world in a safe and empowered manner.

DC Sachin Gupta said that along with digital literacy, students should also be made financially literate. In addition, they should also be introduced to various social activities so that after obtaining their degrees, they can easily find employment. He emphasized that colleges should not merely serve as institutions for granting academic degrees but should also become platforms for providing employment and empowering students. He also directed to prepare a plan for organizing inter-college sports and cultural competitions.

While reviewing the works of the District Town Planning department, the Deputy Commissioner instructed to speed up the preparation of the development plan for Meham. He also directed to prepare a proposal for the control area along the highways. He reviewed the works of Haryana Urban Development Authority, HSIIDC, and Housing Board and issued necessary directions. The meeting was attended by Rohtak SDM Ashish Kumar, DTP Sumandeep, and principals of various colleges and ITIs.
