DAV University Celebrates Ved Prachar Saptah to Promote Vedic Knowledge and Values

Jalandhar, August 1, 2026: DAV University, Jalandhar successfully organised Veda Prachar Saptah from July 27 to July 31, under the joint aegis of the Department of Vedic Studies and the Department of Physical Education. The week-long programme witnessed daily Yajna ceremonies, Vedic discourses, devotional hymns, inspiring talks, and the distribution of Satyarth Prakash books to promote the study and dissemination of Vedic literature and values.
Each day of the programme featured Vedic rituals led by faculty members from different departments, along with enlightening sessions on Vedic philosophy, the teachings of Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati and Mahatma Anand Swami, the significance of Vedic mantras, moral values, self-discipline, social harmony, and holistic living. Students actively participated through devotional singing, poetry recitations, storytelling, and collective discussions, making the event spiritually enriching and intellectually engaging. The concluding day witnessed the Purnahuti Yajna, attended by Vice-Chancellor Dr. Manoj Kumar, Registrar Dr. Sanjeev Arora, faculty members, and students.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. Manoj Kumar said, "The Vedas are a timeless source of knowledge that inspire ethical living, scientific temper, and universal brotherhood. Through Veda Prachar Saptah, DAV University continues its commitment to preserving India's rich cultural heritage while encouraging students to imbibe values of truth, discipline, compassion, and social responsibility."
Registrar Dr. Sanjeev Arora remarked, "Such initiatives strengthen the connection of our students and faculty with India's ancient wisdom. The week-long programme not only promoted Vedic learning but also fostered an atmosphere of unity, positivity, and character building across the university community."
