Dharamsala, August 31, 2022: The Tibetan spiritual leader, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, returned to Dharamsala this morning after more than a month-long sojourn in Ladakh. He had left Dharamsala for this visit on 14th July this year. This trip was the Dalai Lama’s first trip outside Dharamsala since Covid-19 struck in 2020.

The Dalai Lama reached here by air from Delhi, where he stayed for a couple of days on his way back from Leh to Dharamsala.

Dalai Lama was welcomed by local Tibetans, devotees and well-wishers. Apart from this, Speaker of Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile Khenpo Sonam Tenphel, Officiating Sikyong Tharlam Dolma Changra, Security Kalon Dolma Gyari and the heads of Tibetan non-governmental organisations were also present to receive him at the Gaggal Airport of Dharamsala.

The Dalai Lama will give two-day teachings on Chandrakirti’s Entering the Middle Way in conjunction with the auto commentary (uma jukpa rangdrel thok ney) in the mornings at the request of a group of Southeast Asians at the Main Tibetan Temple from 15-16 September 2022 in Dharamsala.
