CTIAP and ASSOCHAM GEM together holds Architectural Conclave- 2021

Jalandhar: Centre of Excellence for Research & Innovation, CTIAP, Jalandhar in collaboration with ASSOCHAM GEM Green Building Council, New Delhi organized a Conclave in which a rich conversation and some well- rounded views were shared; themed ‘Architectural Environmental Strategies’.

The speakers for the conclave were Ar. Shruti H. Kapoor, HOD, CTIAP and Vice Chairman- IIA Jalandhar Chapter who reminded the role of vernacular architecture from her research Ethos of Past, Viability of present through the examples of Jaisalmer and Punjab, Ar. Surinder Bagha, Chairman ASSOCHAM GEM Punjab Chapter; Principal Architect at Saakar Foundation talked about various Climate Responsive, Pankaj Dharkar, Chairman ASSOCHAM GEM Green Building Council and President, Pankaj Dharkar and Associates discussed various Architectural Environmental Strategies, Moreover, Dr. Balkar Singh, Co-Chairman ASSOCHAM GEM Punjab Chapter; Former Joint Director, PEDA discussed various Architectural Environmental Strategies and also explained how the Covid-19 Pandemic showcased the damage made by the humans in the surroundings.

Neeraj Arora, Senior Director and Head ASSOCHAM GEM Green Building Council Certification Program confer about the Green Buildings and how it is one of most important measure to lead us towards a sustainable future, Money Khanna, Co-Chairman ASSOCHAM GEM Events and Expo Committee, Gem Certified Professional talked about the ECBC and Green Buildings along with various strategies to make a building more sustainable.

Ar. Shruti H Kapoor, Head of Department, CT Institute of Architecture and Planning said that this interaction provided comprehensive development of students and would help them to understand the various architectural environmental strategies and their implication in the field work. She believes that the webinar helped the individuals to gain a more profound understanding about Green Buildings and measures to create a Sustainable Habitat.
