In a significant collaboration between Tokyo Metropolitan University, Japan, and CT University, Ludhiana, a team of eminent researchers has been actively engaged in international research projects funded by the Japan Society of Promotional Science (JSPS) and the Asia Africa Environmental Radiation Research Network. The research focuses on contributing to health management against radiation exposure, with a particular emphasis on the field survey of Bathinda District in Punjab, India.

Ludhiana, February 22, 2024: In a significant collaboration between Tokyo Metropolitan University, Japan, and CT University, Ludhiana, a team of eminent researchers has been actively engaged in international research projects funded by the Japan Society of Promotional Science (JSPS) and the Asia Africa Environmental Radiation Research Network. The research focuses on contributing to health management against radiation exposure, with a particular emphasis on the field survey of Bathinda District in Punjab, India.

During the recent visit of Prof. Kazumasa Inoue from the Department of Radiological Sciences at Tokyo Metropolitan University, along with Prof. S K Sahoo and three researchers from their lab, a comprehensive discussion took place at CT University. The esteemed members of the CT University present during the discussion included Charanjit Singh Channi (Chancellor), Dr. Manbir Singh (Pro-Chancellor), Dr. Abhishek Tripathi (Vice-Chancellor), and Dr. Satvir Singh, who is actively collaborating in these international research projects.

Dr. Satvir Singh, a key member of the research team from CT University, played a pivotal role during the field survey of Bathinda District. The team collected ground water and soil samples as part of their research endeavors. Dr. Satvir Singh's expertise and contribution in the ongoing projects have been commendable, reinforcing the commitment of CT University to cutting-edge research and international collaboration.

The research team comprises Prof. Inoue and Natarajan from Tokyo Metropolitan University, Prof. S K Sahoo and Ito also from Tokyo Metropolitan University, Prof. R C Ramola from Central University, Gharwal, Prof. B S Bajwa from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, and Abhishek from Central University, Gharwal. Their collaborative efforts extend beyond geographical boundaries, showcasing the importance of global partnerships in addressing critical issues such as uranium poisoning.
 
In addition to the research activities, the Japanese team participated as guests in the 9th Convocation of CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur, Jalandhar, further strengthening the bond between the two institutions.
