KMV Launches Drug Abuse Awareness Booth under NEP SAARTHI Initiative
Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) launched the Drug Abuse Awareness Booth to sensitize students about the harmful consequences of drug abuse and promote a healthy, responsible, and drug-free lifestyle. Under this initiative, the SAARTHI committee of KMV in collaboration with department of Fine Arts installed a Drug Abuse Awareness Booth/Help Desk at the college campus.

Jalandhar, September 12, 2026: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) launched the Drug Abuse Awareness Booth to sensitize students about the harmful consequences of drug abuse and promote a healthy, responsible, and drug-free lifestyle. Under this initiative, the SAARTHI committee of KMV in collaboration with department of Fine Arts installed a Drug Abuse Awareness Booth/Help Desk at the college campus.
The activity aimed to create awareness among students regarding the physical, psychological, social, and academic consequences of substance abuse. Students actively participated in the activity and expressed their views through creative and informative posters highlighting the dangers of drug addiction and the importance of prevention, self-discipline, and positive choices. Around, 50 students participated in this activity. Through impactful slogans, illustrations, and messages, the students emphasised themes such as “Say No to Drugs,” prevention of substance abuse, healthy living, mental well-being, responsible citizenship, and the role of youth in building a drug-free society. The posters reflected the students’ understanding of the devastating effects of drug abuse on individuals, families, and society and conveyed the significance of awareness, counseling, peer support, and timely intervention. The activity successfully encouraged students to reflect on the serious challenges posed by drug abuse and motivated them to become responsible ambassadors of a healthy and drug-free society. It also provided a meaningful platform for students to communicate social messages through creativity and constructive expression.
Director Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi appreciated the active participation and creative efforts of the students and congratulated Dr. Madhumeet (Dean Student Welfare), Dr. Monika Rani (Coordinator, NEP SAARTHI) and Dr. Iqbal Singh (Co-coordinator, NEP SAARTHI) and SAARTHI Ambassadors Riya Juneja, Devshee, and Sukhmanpreet Kaur Sidhu for their valuable contribution to the successful organization of the activity.
