Sharing his excitement and surprise at the same time, he said, “To be honest, I wasn’t even aware that I have made 100 saves. It was not until someone from my team told me. I was both excited and surprised. Having said this, I have to thank my teammates. In fact, the credit should be given to the defenders who are standing in front of me and make superb blocks which makes my work a tad bit easier.”

Telugu Talons, are placed at second in the points table of the Premier Handball League and have shown exceptional performances so far in the tournament.  Sharing his thought about how the team is faring in the league, he said, “The bond between the players is strong. We support each other no matter whether we win or lose and that is what I feel makes us stronger when we go onto the court to play. We still have a long way to go and we cannot take anything for granted. We have to remain focused if we want to lift the trophy.”

The Premier Handball League which is being played in the Pink City at the iconic Sawai Mansingh Stadium has been a good platform for the players and it will only grow from here.

“The league will definitely help the players in getting ample experience. There are so many young players who are part of the league and it is a great learning curve for them to make a name for themselves. I am sure that in the coming time, people will be more aware of the game,” Rahul signed off.
