C.R.B. Public School: Festival of lights Diwali celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy

Chandigarh, October 21, 2025: C.R.B. Public School, Sector 7-B, the festival of lights Diwali was celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy. On this occasion, the school premises were beautifully decorated with colourful streamers and rangolis.
The program began with the worship of Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi by the school’s Director, Naveen Kumar Mittal, Principal Sangeeta Mittal, and the little Kindergarten students.
After that, students from Kindergarten to Class VIII presented a variety of vibrant cultural performances. Various creative activities were also organized in the school, such as diya decoration, candle decoration, wall hanging making, toran making, and door hanging, rangoli Competition etc. The tiny tots enthusiastically participated in activities like card making and diya decoration. They also performed delightful dances to various songs and presented a role play of Love and Kush. After this, all the children chanted the slogans of “Jai Shree Ram, Jai Shree Ram” which filled the entire school with a divine and devotional atmosphere.
Towards the end of the program, the Principal, Sangeeta Mittal, spoke to the students about the religious and cultural significance of Diwali. She encouraged them to avoid pollution caused by firecrackers and to celebrate an eco-friendly ‘Green Diwali’.
The school’s Director, Naveen Kumar Mittal, extended his warm wishes to all students and teachers. In his address, he said, “Diwali is a festival that symbolizes the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. We must illuminate not only our homes but also our hearts with the light of wisdom. Let us pledge to celebrate a cracker-free and pollution-free Diwali. Protecting the environment is the duty of us all.”
In the end, sweets were distributed among the students.
