Continuous crackdown under “Gangsteran Te Waar” by Khanna police

Ludhiana, February 15, 2026: In a breakthrough under the ongoing “Gangsteran Te Waar” campaign, Khanna Police has dismantled a heroin supply chain and arrested father son-duo involved in narcotics consumption and peddling.

Jagpal Singh @ Jogi, resident of Village Daheru, PS Sadar Khanna, has been arrested in FIR No. 11/26 dated 16.01.2026 registered at PS Sadar Khanna. He has been identified as the crucial backward linkage of previously arrested accused Randeep Singh and Ashveer of Village Daheru, who were apprehended with 6 grams of heroin.

Investigation revealed that the accused Randeep Singh was residing and operating from Jogi’s residence, effectively turning it into a centre for illegal drug activities.

During the raid, police recovered ₹47,500/- drug money from Jogi’s possession.

Notably, Jagpal Singh @ Jogi is a habitual and hardened offender, with around 22 FIRs registered against him involving serious bodily offences, including multiple cases of attempt to murder and violations under the Arms Act.

Expanding the crackdown, police also arrested his son Ekamdeep Singh in FIR No. 48/26 under Section 27 of the NDPS Act, exposing the active involvement of the father-son duo.

In further backward linkage development, Gurjit Singh @ Guri, resident of Village Harbanspura, has been nabbed for allegedly supplying heroin to the father-son duo, thereby exposing the supply chain operating behind the scenes.

Preliminary investigation indicates that Jagpal Singh had no legitimate source of income, and criminal elements frequently visited his residence, which had effectively become a safe haven for anti-social activities.

Further investigation is underway to trace additional linkages, financial transactions, and associates connected to this module.

Khanna police continue to carry out aggressive action under the “Gangsteran Te Waar” campaign. No criminal, drug peddler, or habitual offender will be allowed to disrupt law and order.
