Congress Faces Another Major Setback in Ludhiana West as Dozens of Leaders Join AAP

Ahead of the Ludhiana West by-election, Congress suffered another major setback as hundreds of its leaders from Ward No. 65 joined the Aam Aadmi Party. Additionally, several prominent businessmen from the constituency also announced their decision to join the AAP.

Ludhiana, June 14, 2025: Ahead of the Ludhiana West by-election, Congress suffered another major setback as hundreds of its leaders from Ward No. 65 joined the Aam Aadmi Party. Additionally, several prominent businessmen from the constituency also announced their decision to join the AAP.

AAP Punjab Working President Shery Kalsi formally inducted all the new members into the party and extended a warm welcome to them. On this occasion, AAP leaders Harchand Singh Barsat, Dr Sunny Ahluwalia, MLA Manwinder Singh Giaspura, Chairman Raman Behl, and former Delhi Minister Rakhi Birla were also present.

The Congress leaders from Ward No. 65 who joined AAP include Advocate Bobby Kumar, Advocate Arjun Gandhi, Sonu Kalyan, Ravi, Ankul, Manoj, Sachin, Kavi, Ravi Atwal, Nikhil, Vansh, Neetu Birla, Monu Birla, Pulkit, Hrithik, Ram, Lakshman, Sonu Sharma, Manoj Chhanalia, Amit Sood, Sahil Tisavar, Vicky, and Akash. Additionally, Surinder Singh, Principal Manju, Geeta, and Kristy Chauhan also joined AAP.

Prominent Ludhiana businessmen Himanshu Mahajan, Deepak Bedi, Suresh Batra, Suresh Jindal, Vicky Malhotra, Vishal Khosla, Vikas Khosla, Amit Dutta, Nitish Jasra, Lavneesh Arora, Harmesh Arora, Manpreet Sekhon, Maninder Singh, Sahil Sidhu, and Prabhdeep Singh also became members of the party.

Shery Kalsi stated that the inclusion of these individuals into the Party is not just an organizational boost but also a clear indication that people have full confidence in the policies, honesty, and development model of the AAP government. He added that seeing the enthusiasm of the people, it is evident that AAP candidate Sanjeev Arora's victory from Ludhiana West is assured, with only the official announcement of results pending.
