Students participate in Algorythm 2K15 at Chitkara University.
Chandigarh, September 25, 2015: Display of talent, vibrant Indian culture and fusion of Indo-Western performances made “Algorythm 2K15” at Chitkara University Himachal Pradesh, which began on colorful note with Brig (Dr) R S Grewal, Vice Chancellor, Chitkara University inaugurating the 2-day National event at University campus.
Event witnessed a new level of buzzing energy and creativity on the first day itself. A day jam packed with different flavors of talent and endless enthusiasm, Algorythm2K15 was definitely a site to watch. Chitkara University successfully hosted it’s Cultural Fest Algorythm 2015. With over a participation of over 2500 students campus bloomed with students from all cultures and diversities representing 50 institutes from across North India including teams from HPU Shimla, Amity University , Noida, IIT Mandi, APG Univ Shimla, NIT Hamirpur, LPU Jalandhar, Shiva Ji College Delhi etc.
Various fun filled activities were rolled out today which took Fest to another level. Fest started with competition Telly Tales, which was all about how deep is your imagination and how effectively you express it , Shaurya won the competition and was awarded with cash prize of Rs 10000, Harnoor came second and won a cash prize of Rs 5000.
Other events held today included Carnage an event showcasing the music skills of student band groups from across the region, It was a sheer delight making it virtually a battle of bands. Cosmic Truth Band came first & Rudra Band was the second choice of the Judges . Another highlight was Arkan, the ethnic dance competition. Arkan, highlighted the richness and hues of ethnic India , Entrevista was a literary event which highlights your skill of being expressive on a given topic yet being spontaneous , logical and practical at the same time. There was host of other events highlighting your talent like MR & MS Algorytm an event testing your skills to mesmerize the crowd with your magnetic personality the same was followed by Lan Gaming FIFA 14, Counter Strike , Paintball , Four A Side Soccer, Halla Bol-a Street play event, Singing Sensation etc. All the events witnessed lots of participants who tried their best to prove themselves better. Finals for these will be held tomorrow to decide on the winners.
There is a bounty of prizes worth over 15 Lacs for the events held. Over all the day was one which set another benchmark for Algorythm at Chitkara University.
