CM Nitish launches, inaugurates development projects in Muzaffarpur during Samriddhi Yatra
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday laid the foundation stone for 89 projects, inaugurated 47 projects, and launched work on 36 additional projects worth several hundred crore rupees in Muzaffarpur district as part of his ongoing Samriddhi Yatra.
Patna, Jan 23 (IANS) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday laid the foundation stone for 89 projects, inaugurated 47 projects, and launched work on 36 additional projects worth several hundred crore rupees in Muzaffarpur district as part of his ongoing Samriddhi Yatra.
Arriving in Muzaffarpur on Friday, the Chief Minister visited various departmental stalls and interacted with Jeevika Didis, beneficiaries of government schemes, and local villagers during a public dialogue programme.
He highlighted the achievements of his government and outlined the future development roadmap for Bihar.
CM Nitish Kumar reviewed the progress of several ongoing projects in the district and directed officials to expedite construction work and ensure completion within stipulated timelines.
He inspected the widening work from Chandni Chowk to Barkhi Path and the Road Over Bridge (ROB) project in Muzaffarpur, issuing necessary instructions to the officials concerned.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated construction and renovation works at the Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) premises in Muzaffarpur.
During the event, he distributed cheques to selected beneficiaries under various government schemes.
The Chief Minister held a high-level meeting of district officials at the Mini Secretariat building and issued instructions to ensure corruption-free governance and a people-centric approach in government offices.
Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, Water Resources Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Agriculture Minister Ram Kripal Yadav, senior state officials and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
The Samriddhi Yatra, which began on January 16, has so far covered West Champaran, East Champaran, Sitamarhi, Sheohar, Gopalganj, Saran, Siwan and Muzaffarpur.
Development projects worth thousands of crores have been inaugurated or launched across these districts.
The first phase of Samriddhi Yatra will continue till January 24, with the Chief Minister scheduled to visit Vaishali on the concluding day.
The second phase of Samriddhi Yatra will start on January 27, and Nitish Kumar is scheduled to visit some of the districts, including Madhubani and Darbhanga.
