Panchkula, October 4, 2016: The Fourth match of Wg Cdr S S Gyani Memorial Tournament was played between C L DAV and Holy Child School in the ground of St Soldier’s School, Sec 16, Panchkula.
The toss was won by C L DAV and they elected to bat. C L DAV made 218 runs at the loss of 5 wickets. Rishab cored 65(39) hitting Seven 4s & Four 6s, Yuvraj made 42(38) with Five 4s & a 6. Prashant made 42 (59) in which he hit Seven 4s. In the bowling department for Holy Child, Mritunjay took 2 wickets while Rishab Vij & Abhimanyu took 1 wicket each.
In response Holy Child scored 104 runs all out. Rishab Vij made 38(27) hitting two 4s & Four 6s. Sparsh Sharma made 8(11) with one 4. Gurnoor made 7(21) with one 4. C L Dav bowlers did well. Yuvraj took 5 wickets, while Keshab and Rawat took 1 wicket each.
The match was won by C L DAV by 114 runs. Yuvraj of C L DAV was declared ‘Man of the Match’.
The Inter School Tournament is being hosted by St Soldier’s School, Panchkula and will be on till October 7.
