CICU Aims to Train 500 Youth and Launches Free Skill Training Initiative Under CSR

Ludhiana, April 19, 2026: The CICU Skill Development Centre, an initiative of the Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU), is dedicated to empowering youth with industry-relevant skills and enhancing employability through practical training programs. Under its CSR initiatives, the centre offers free skill-based courses aimed at bridging the gap between education and industry requirements, thereby creating better job opportunities for aspiring candidates.
Kulwant Singh Sidhu visited the CICU Skill Development Centre and inaugurated the first batch of the Tally Prime with GST Course, being offered free of cost to candidates under the CSR initiatives of Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings.
During the visit, the MLA interacted with the trainees and motivated them by emphasizing the importance of skill development and employability. He appreciated the efforts of CICU in providing industry-relevant training and empowering youth through such initiatives. He also distributed laptop bags and study materials to the trainees.
On this occasion, Upkar Singh Ahuja, President CICU and Sh. Ajay Bharti, Finance Secretary, extended a warm welcome along with CICU Core Functional Team (CFT) Members including Didarjit Singh, Satinder Singh Barnala, Satinderjit Singh Autom and Jaspreet Singh to the Hon’ble MLA.
Upkar Singh Ahuja highlighted CICU’s target to train and facilitate employment for 500 candidates this year under its Skill Development Initiative as part of CSR activities.
Ajay Bharti expressed his gratitude to the MLA and his team for their valuable time, encouragement and support towards promoting skill development in the region.
