Amritsar/Chandigarh, 19 July 2025: BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh along with newly appointed BJP State Working President Ashwani Sharma visited Sri Darbar Sahib, Durgiana Mandir, and Ram Tirath Mandir in Amritsar today and prayed for the well-being of the nation and the people of Punjab.
Later, addressing a spirited Karyakarta Sammelan at the BJP district office in Amritsar, Chugh welcomed Ashwani Sharma in his new role and said,"Under his leadership, BJP will grow not just in urban bastis, but will firmly take root in Punjab’s rural heartlands as well."
Chugh launched a fierce attack on the Bhagwant Mann government, calling the Land Pooling Policy a Ponzi scheme meant to loot farmers.
"This is not pooling, it is pure looting. BJP will fight this tooth and nail. The Mann government is only a puppet – real strings are pulled from Delhi by Kejriwal,” Chugh said.
Ashwani Sharma thanked the party high command for the new responsibility and Tarun Chugh for the welcome. He said, “Every BJP karyakarta must rise to the challenge, Punjab needs us now more than ever. This is a fight to remove the proxy government of Kejriwal that has insulted and failed Punjab on every front.”
