Mohali, August 28, 2026: CGC University Mohali has been honoured with the prestigious ‘Global EduCulture Next Gen University 2026’ Award at the Global EduCulture Conclave 2026, organised by the Loknayak Jaiprakash National Art and Culture Foundation at The Ashok Hotel, New Delhi. The prestigious recognition acknowledges the university’s efforts towards promoting future-ready education, academic excellence and innovation while integrating these with India’s rich cultural heritage.
The award was received on behalf of CGC University Mohali by Vaibhav Kele, Assistant Director, Cultural Affairs, in the presence of eminent educationists, cultural leaders and distinguished personalities. The honour was presented by a distinguished panel comprising Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, former Union Education Minister, Government of India; Hon’ble Malgorzata Wajsis-Golebiak, Director of the Polish Institute in New Delhi; and Padma Bhushan Ram Bahadur Rai, Chairman, Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts.
Expressing his happiness over the achievement, Rachpal Dhaliwal, Chancellor, CGC University, who has also been honoured with the Father of Education Award, said that the recognition reflects the university’s commitment to nurturing strong cultural values and ethics among students alongside modern education and technology. He said, “We are not only equipping our young people with professional skills, but also connecting them with India’s rich heritage.”
