Mohali: CGC University, in collaboration with Capgemini, inaugurated the CodeXperience Centre on campus with the objective of preparing students in alignment with evolving industry requirements. The centre has been designed to move beyond traditional computer labs and create a professional ecosystem where students can experience real-world industry challenges.
The CodeXperience Centre features collaborative coding zones, discussion spaces, structured development bays, and integrated digital systems. Designed to accommodate over 500 students at a time, the facility is considered one of the largest industry-integrated learning spaces in the region.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Managing Director Arsh Dhaliwal, and Executive Vice President Dr. Sushil Prashar, along with senior university officials. Senior representatives from Capgemini including Samir Shah, Executive Vice President, I&D India; Ashish Minocha, Vice President, DCX India; Puneet Kumra, Vice President & Head, Early Careers Program – India; and Suman Bhattacharya, Director, Early Careers Program – India, were also present.
Established under the visionary leadership of Founder Chancellor Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, the centre aims to provide students not only with academic qualifications but also with professional confidence and clarity.
Sharing his views, Managing Director Arsh Dhaliwal stated that the centre creates a model technology-driven environment within the campus that mirrors real industry work culture. He emphasized that higher education must evolve with time so students can understand industry expectations during their academic journey. The centre is not merely a computer lab but a dynamic and immersive learning environment where students will work on live project simulations aligned with industry standards.
He further added that students should graduate not just with degrees, but with certified competencies, confidence, and practical clarity. The centre will also contribute to faculty upskilling and curriculum modernization to ensure continuous alignment with industry standards.
Dr. Sushil Prashar remarked that this initiative marks another strong step toward transforming CGC University into India’s first “Industry Integrated Learning Hub.” The centre will support structured engagement in software engineering, full-stack application development, cloud platforms, data-driven systems, and emerging digital technologies. Through live project simulations, workflow-based assignments, and industry modules, students will gain exposure to real technology team structures. Faculty upskilling and curriculum alignment initiatives will also be undertaken to ensure academic programs remain aligned with evolving industry demands.
