Ludhiana: Experienced alumni In their spree of continuing positive interaction with the students of their Alma Mater discussed Union Budget 2026-2027 with students of commerce, management and business innovation. 
The keynote speaker K B Singh DGM (Retd) from a bank and an alumnus presented a lucid account of the budget to understand by students easily. Principal Gursharanjit Singh Sandhu appreciated the alumni association gesture. 
Prof.Dr Neelam Bhardwaj,Prof Arun kumar,Prof Geetika Talwar, Prof Parminder,Prof Geetika Arora,Prof Aarsi Sandhu,Prof Nidhi Sharma,Prof Dinesh,Prof Charanjit kaur, and Prof Rupinder kaur attended the session. Also present was Brij Bhushan Goyal, Organising Secretary of the Alumni Association.
K B Singh informed that the share of Direct Taxes in total Tax Revenue is 56%, which being progressive is a good sign. The Union Budget 2026-27’s focus on a credit-linked subsidy programme for animal husbandry is highly beneficial for Punjab farmers, aiming to boost rural income by strengthening livestock entrepreneurship, he said. 
On the occasion, a promising student Jahanvi, found to have remarkable clarity about budgetary concepts was awarded with a book ‘Chardhkla Always,’ said Goyal. He also extolled students to compete for CAT examination for admission in good numbers for a reputed management college like IIMs as according to him students with commerce background always excelled there and later in industry.
