Chandigarh, November 3, 2025: The University Institute of Applied Management Sciences (UIAMS) hosted the Installation Ceremony of its newly chartered Rotaract Club, marking a significant step in promoting leadership, service, and community engagement among students.
The ceremony was graced by Professor Anupreet Kaur Mavi, Director, UIAMS, who encouraged Rotaractors to uphold the spirit of service above self and bring innovative ideas for societal betterment. Dr. Manjushri Sharma, Faculty In-charge of the Rotaract Club, emphasised the importance of teamwork, integrity, and compassion in shaping responsible leaders.
Distinguished guests Rtn. Mr. Jagwinder Bawa, President, Rotary Club Chandigarh Midtown, and Rtn. Mr. Salil Chopra, Past President, inspired the young Rotaractors with insights on the movement’s impact. The event featured the formal exchange of the charter and the installation and pinning of the club’s office bearers, symbolizing the club’s commitment to undertake meaningful initiatives under the guidance of the parent Rotary Club.
The ceremony was attended by District Rotaractors, faculty, and students, who congratulated the new team and extended best wishes for a successful journey in community service and youth empowerment. The event concluded with a vote of thanks and a renewed sense of enthusiasm among the members to work collectively toward community development and youth empowerment.
