CATC-40 Camp Commences at CT Group, Shahpur with the Participation of 590 Cadets

The 10-day Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-40) organized by 2 PB Battalion NCC Jalandhar commenced at CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur Campus. The camp was inaugurated with an inspiring opening address by Colonel Vinod Joshi, Commanding Officer, 2 PB BN NCC Jalandhar. He emphasized discipline, leadership, and the spirit of patriotism while highlighting the core values of the National Cadet Corps.

Jalandhar, July 3, 2025: The 10-day Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-40) organized by 2 PB Battalion NCC Jalandhar commenced at CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur Campus. The camp was inaugurated with an inspiring opening address by Colonel Vinod Joshi, Commanding Officer, 2 PB BN NCC Jalandhar. He emphasized discipline, leadership, and the spirit of patriotism while highlighting the core values of the National Cadet Corps.
“NCC is not just a training ground — it is a crucible where the ideals of duty, discipline, and devotion to the nation are forged. I encourage each cadet to embrace this opportunity with commitment and pride,” said Colonel Vinod Joshi, during his address to the cadets.

A total of 590 cadets from various institutions are participating in the camp, including 406 boys and 184 girls. The camp is being conducted under the supervision of 30 staff members from the Indian Army, including 01 Subedar Major (SM), 08 Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs), and 21 Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs).

Following the opening ceremony, cadets actively participated in Weapon Training and Shooting Practice, conducted under the expert supervision of Army personnel. Simultaneously, Drill Sessions were held to instil precision, coordination, and teamwork among the cadets.

The camp aims to provide holistic training to cadets in military discipline, leadership development, and community service. Over the next ten days, cadets will undergo a variety of physical, educational, and cultural activities to strengthen their capabilities as responsible citizens and future leaders.
