Career prospects in fashion communication

Chandigarh, August 24, 2022: The School of Communication Studies (SCS), Panjab University in collaboration with University Institute of Fashion Technology (UIFT) , organized an interactive session with Dr. Neha Miglani, senior journalist and media researcher. The objective of the event was to give practical insights into the field of fashion communication. The event commenced with a welcome note, followed by the Chief Guest’s address to the students. 

Dr. Miglani addressed the audience on the aspects of Media and communication and shared her personal anecdotes from her years of experience in the industry. While talking about career prospects, she said “ There are two choices, choosing career for prospects of earning money or from job satisfaction. She also mentioned that the aim must be to grow one’s skill set as individuals with multiple skills are desired in the industry.

After the address, the floor was open for the students to ask questions related to The fashion and media industry to Dr. Miglani, which she answered enthusiastically along with her insights. This enabled the students to achieve an effective understanding of the Fashion communication sector.

The event concluded with the attendees expressing their gratitude to the Chief Guest for enlightening them with his valuable thoughts.
