BOOKS ARE THE BEST COMPANION DURING LOCK DOWN  
Online poster being released on eve of World Book Day, i.e. 23rd April 2020 through social media by High Court Lawyer Harpreet Sandhu..

Ludhiana: Punjab High Court Lawyer, Harpreet Sandhu, who is an Author has initiated an educative step during the COVID -19 lockdown with a thought to spread the importance of World Book Day (23rd April 2020) within Ludhiana residents.  Mr. Harpreet Sandhu designed a special online poster depicting significance of this day through Social Media i.e. Whatsapp, Facebook, Twitter etc., A meaningful poster with a very catchy slogan that, "Reading Books - Best Bet during COVID -19 Lockdown". It’s a day to value importance of Books having significant meaning in human life. Harpreet Sandhu himself being author urged city residents that everyone must develop a habit of reading books as they can be best companion  especially during this lockdown period, he also shared that books are hard bound drug with no danger of overdose, rather he said that people must read eminent book titled, "Long walk to freedom" - based on the true story of 27 years lockup of Nelson Mandela. 
 Though we mark and celebrate this day within our educational institutions but since we are facing the COVID -19 lockdown, hence we must to carry forward this significant day - 23rd April being World Book Day, emphasizing books as valuable source of knowledge with infinite benefits which enables youngsters to think over subjects of interest, expanding their vocabulary, new writing skills, keeps their brain working positive and we can keep update with language, expand our knowledge.  As due to COVID -19 lockdown this year there will be no functions in school and college libraries so we must emphasize the importance of reading in the minds of readers which can enable them to think over subjects of interest, values and morals of good and humble life which can be the result by becoming book readers, as books certainly generate ideas and meaningful thoughts. Harpreet Sandhu also acknowledged the eminent writers and poets of Punjab for their dedicated valuable contribution in the literary field and who have authored books on numerous subjects having a positive impact within the educational institutions and universities. 
Padam Bibhushan Dr. S.S Johl (Chancellor Central University), Padam Shree Dr. Surjit Patar and prominent Punjabi Poet Prof. Gurbhajan Gill  also shared their views on World Book Day stating that, books are the only gift in one's house which he can again and again. Hence reading books during lock down is the best and simple way to pass time and that too in a constructive way added Harpreet Sandhu while sharing his online designed poster with city residents depicting the importance of World Book.
