Book Release & Farewell Ceremony in Panjab University

Chandigarh, September 1, 2026: Two books were released entitled ‘Surakh Rahan Dian Simritya: Vaad te Samvad’ and ‘Shabad’ in the Department of Guru Nanak Sikh Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh. Occasion was the retirement function of Prof. Gurpal Singh, Professor of Punjabi, Department of Evening Studies & Academic Incharge, Department of Guru Nanak Sikh Studies, Panjab University.
Many scholars made their insights on both the books. Surakh Rahan Dian Simritya is all about the history, culture and ethos of Punjabi and Punjabi society. The book represents the scenes from after the partition of Punjab. The second book ‘Shabd’ was dedicated to the life and works of Prof. Gurpal Singh.

The stage was conducted by Dr. Sukhwinder Singh & Dr. Parmveer Singh. At the end of the occasion, Prof. Gurpreet Kaur gave a vote of thanks.
