BJP’s Grewal condemns shocking circumstances surrounding tragic death of DM Gagandeep Randhawa

Ludhiana, 21 March 2026: National BJP leader, Advocate Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal Bhukhri Kalan strongly condemned the shocking circumstances surrounding the tragic death of young officer DM Gagandeep Randhawa, describing it as a horrifying and shameful blot on governance in Punjab.
Grewal wrote on his social media platform X that the death of an honest young officer has deeply shaken Punjab and raised extremely serious questions about the arrogance intimidation and blatant abuse of power under the government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. He said that the resignation of Punjab Cabinet Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar is not justice but merely a desperate attempt at damage control after a young officer has lost his life. Grewal said that resignation cannot wash away responsibility and accountability for such a grave tragedy.
Grewal told that the entire bureaucratic community of the country deserves clear and honest answers. He asked who pressured the officer and why who humiliated him and who pushed him towards such extreme circumstances. Grewal said that the silence of the Government of Punjab on such a serious and disturbing matter is completely unacceptable and raises alarming concerns about the safety dignity and independence of honest officers.
He said that if upright and honest officers cannot work without fear humiliation or political pressure then the administrative system of Punjab stands badly exposed before the nation. Grewal said that this tragic incident has sent shock waves across the country and has created deep anger among people who expect transparency accountability and justice.
Grewal further said that the Bharatiya Janata Party Punjab demands immediate registration of an FIR a criminal case immediate arrest of all those responsible and a time bound judicial investigation into the entire episode. He said that no cover up will be tolerated no political protection will be accepted and no one responsible for pushing an honest officer towards death should escape the law.
He added that those responsible for this tragedy must face the strictest punishment under the law and justice must prevail at any cost.
