Birth Anniversary of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Celebrated at Boys Hostel No. 8
The residents and staff of Boys Hostel No. 8, under the aegis of the Dean Student Welfare Office, Panjab University, celebrated the birth anniversary of the great Sikh warrior and martyr Baba Banda Singh Bahadur with reverence and enthusiasm.
Chandigarh, October 27, 2025: The residents and staff of Boys Hostel No. 8, under the aegis of the Dean Student Welfare Office, Panjab University, celebrated the birth anniversary of the great Sikh warrior and martyr Baba Banda Singh Bahadur with reverence and enthusiasm.
The celebration aimed to honor the remarkable contributions of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur, who played a pivotal role in upholding justice, equality, and the rights of the oppressed, was held in the Common Room of the hostel.
During the function, a documentary on the life and teachings of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur was screened, highlighting his struggle against tyranny, empowerment of the poor, and his commitment to justice and religious tolerance.
Dr. Mahesh Thakur, Warden of Boys Hostel No. 8 along with students, staff members, and hostel residents, graced the occasion. The event concluded with refreshments served to all attendees.
