Become Aware and Stay Safe

Jalandhar, May 17, 2023: Ivy World School, Jalandhar under the aegis of the Vasal Education Society hosted a Workshop on Cyber Security for students, teachers, and parents. The workshop aimed at promoting online safety and increasing awareness about the potential dangers of the internet. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Rakshit Tandon, a renowned cyber security expert who provided valuable insights on cyber security and how to stay safe online. The students were made aware of various cyber threats, such as malware, phishing, and identity theft. They were also taught how to protect themselves from such threats by creating strong passwords, using antivirus software, and being cautious of suspicious links, and checking those links. The students also got the opportunity to ask questions and receive feedback from the expert. The workshop highlighted ways and means by which a victim of cybercrime, could immediately complain.

The Principal, S. Chauhan expressed her gratitude to Dr. Rakshit Tandon for conducting the workshop and helping to educate students about the importance of cyber security. She also highlighted the need for students to be responsible digital citizens and use technology in a safe and ethical manner.

The President of Vasal Education Society, K K Vasal, The Chairman Sanjeev Kumar Vasal, The Vice President Ena Vasal, The CEO Raghav Vasal, and The Director, Aditi Vasal said that the Cyber Security Workshop was very useful as students left with a greater understanding of the importance of cyber security and how to stay safe online. They further added that the school is dedicated to providing quality education and a safe and nurturing environment for students with the help of such programs regularly.
