Awareness Camp Organized by Employees’ State Insurance Corporation

Ludhiana, September 18, 2025: On Wednesday, the Sub-Regional Office, Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Ludhiana, organized an awareness camp in the premises of ESIC Ludhiana for the promotion of the SPREE Scheme. Employers and representatives from various establishments of Ludhiana participated in the program.
In this event, Pranesh Kumar Sinha, Joint Director (In-Charge), ESIC Ludhiana, welcomed the participants. Pankaj Kumar and Ajit Kumar Singh, Assistant Directors, ESIC Ludhiana, informed the participants about the SPREE Scheme, highlighting that the scheme has been launched to promote registration of employers and employees.
The scheme commenced on 1st July 2025 and will remain in force till 31st December 2025. Under this scheme, if employers register their establishments and employees online through the ESIC Portal, Shram Suvidha, or the MCA Portal, such registration will be considered valid from the date declared by the employer. A notable feature of the scheme is that there will be no inspection or demand for old records for the period prior to registration. The scheme encourages voluntary compliance by removing the fear of retrospective penalties and simplifying the registration process. Its objective is to bring unregistered establishments and workers under the ambit of ESIC’s social security benefits.
Pranesh Kumar Sinha also inquired about the difficulties being faced in the registration process under SPREE and ensured appropriate solutions. Addressing the participants, he urged them to be aware of the SPREE Scheme and to extend their cooperation so that maximum employers and employees may avail the benefits of this scheme. Sh. Suresh Kumar and Rajiv Kumar, Social Security Officers, were also present in the program and shared their views on the SPREE Scheme, highlighting its benefits and importance for employers and employees.
