ATM’S WITHOUT SECURITY PERSONNEL CANNOT OPEN AT NIGHT

COMMISSIONER OF POLICE ISSUES BAN ORDERS Ludhiana, May 1, 2019: Commissioner of Police Dr Sukhchain Singh Gill, while exercising his powers under section 144 of CrPC 1973 (Act no 2 of 1974) has ordered that at least one security personnel should be deputed at each ATM from 8 pm to 6 am in all areas falling under Police Commissionerate Ludhiana. He has banned that ATMs without security personnel would not be opened in this time period. He stated that some criminal elements have tried to break ATMs in towns, villages and cities, which leads to panic in the minds of public. These orders would remain in force for next two months time.
