Mumbai, June 12, 2024: The first rain of the season always brings with it a wave of nostalgia and joy, and for actor Ashi Singh, it was nothing short of magical. The talented actor, currently seen essaying the role of Kairi, a passionate young lawyer in Sony SAB’s latest show ‘Ufff… Yeh Love Hai Mushkil’ is already winning hearts with her on-screen chemistry with Shabir Ahluwalia, who plays the brooding, mysterious Yug.
Recently, Ashi experienced the season’s first rainfall while on set — a moment that beautifully uplifted her mood and highlighted the spirit of her character.
Speaking about it, Ashi shared, “There’s something very pure about the first rain — it feels like the world slows down for a moment. The first rain instantly transports me to my childhood—those carefree days of dancing in the rain, paper boats, and mom scolding me for getting drenched. There’s something magical about Mumbai monsoons. As someone who’s constantly on the go, moments like these help me pause and reconnect with myself.”
Ashi continued, “This time we were shooting outdoors for Uff Yeh Love Hai Mushkil when the drizzle started, and though we had to pause work, I couldn’t help but just soak in the joy of the first rain. I loved the beautiful fragrance of the wet earth, and everything around just paused for a moment. It reminded me so much of my character Kairi. She finds beauty in the simplest things, and I think that’s what makes her special. I’m someone who absolutely loves chai, music, and the smell of wet earth — and when all of that came together on a shoot day, it just felt surreal. It’s one of those moments you want to relieve again and again.”
