Annual blood donation camp organised at KMV
Jalandhar, February 5, 2019: KMVites donate blood with spirit and fervor At the Heritage Institution Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) where social outreach activities are a routine affair, the latest was a Blood Donation Camp on the campus. This Camp was organized by the joint efforts of the KMV Red Ribbon Club under the aegis of Student Welfare Department, the NSS Unit of KMV and the Lions Club, Jalandhar Green Preet. This camp was inaugurated. The SDM, Jalandhar Sh.Paramveer Singh. The medical team consisting of Dr.Gagandeep Singh, B.T.O., Civil Hospital, Jalandhar and Mrs.Sudeep also graced the occasion. The students volunteered to donate blood in large number. It was heartening to see the new generation respond to positively to this benign social activity. Around 80 units of blood were collected. The Principal of KMV Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi appreciated the efforts of the donors and the organizers Dr.Madhumeet, Dean Student Welfare, Mrs.Sadhna Tandon, and Mrs.Manju Sahn said that it gave her great happiness and satisfaction that the activity of the day was going to save many precious human lives. It is an annual feature at K.M.V. and many students are anxious to contribute to the noble cause. Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi was also appreciated of the initiative of Mr.Maan Singh of Liðns Club Green Preet as the Club makes a substantial contribution to noble causes.
