The people of Ludhiana have given an enthusiastic response to the ‘Aap Di Sarkar, Aap De Dwar’, scheme of the Bhagwant Singh Mann-led Punjab government with the district administration has resolved 92-percent of the grievances and delivered 90-percent of services to them at the spot.

Ludhiana, February 22, 2024: The people of Ludhiana have given an enthusiastic response to the ‘Aap Di Sarkar, Aap De Dwar’, scheme of the Bhagwant Singh Mann-led Punjab government with the district administration has resolved 92-percent of the grievances and delivered 90-percent of services to them at the spot.

A total of 492 camps were organized in all sub-divisions of the district since February 6, which had witnessed 46153 visitors. The officials received 19784 applications for various services, out of which 17860 were provided on the spot. During the camps, officials also received 1879 complaints so far, and 1723 of them were resolved. 

Divulging more information, Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney said that the outreach program of the state government had evoked a remarkable response from the people. She said that this initiative was aimed at taking the government's schemes at the doorsteps of the people besides delivering 44 types of services and addressing the grievances on the spot.

The government's top priority is to ensure that the benefits of the scheme are delivered to the people on the spot through camps at the panchayat and urban levels, she added. 

Sawhney stated that the district administration had foolproof mechanism in place to reach every part of the district through the program. She said that these camps were offering 44 kinds of government services on the spot to the people and saving their precious time. She said that the government had also launched the helpline number 1076 from where the people could get the services by sitting in their homes.

Sawhney informed that during these camps, people are getting services including birth or death certificates, Affidavit attestation, Stipend to children of beneficiaries, residence certificate, SC certificate, Registration of construction worker, pension to old age, BC certificate, Electricity payment, Addition of name in birth certificate, Inspection of revenue records, Registration of marriage (compulsory), multiple cases of death certificate, renewal of construction worker card, correction of entry in birth certificate, issuance of death/NAC certificate, Rural Area Certificate, multiple copies of birth certificate, General Caste Certificate, pension to widow/destitute citizen, non-encumbrance certificate, equity entry of mortgage, delayed entry of birth certificate, Income Certificate, pension to handicapped, Fard Generation, Apply for disability Certificate (UDID), Countersigning of documents, registration of marriage (Anand), Shagun Scheme, Pension to Dependent Children, Border Area Certificate, Delayed registration of death, Counter Signing of documents of NRI, Counter signing of police clearance certificate, Correction of entry in death certificate, Kandi Area certificate will be offered to the people. She also that awareness about the public welfare schemes of the Punjab government was also being created with publicity vans so that people could avail benefits of the camps.

The Deputy Commissioner urged the citizens of the district to take maximum advantage of the camps by registering their huge presence.
