Nominations for vacant positions of three sarpanches and 97 panches to start from July 14, voting on July 27
As per the notification issued by Punjab State Election Commission to fill vacant positions of three sarpanches and 97 panches, the nomination process will begin on July 14 (Monday) and continue until July 17 (Thursday) from 11 am to 3 pm. The nominations can be filed in the offices of concerned offices of BDPOs.

Ludhiana, July 13, 2025: As per the notification issued by Punjab State Election Commission to fill vacant positions of three sarpanches and 97 panches, the nomination process will begin on July 14 (Monday) and continue until July 17 (Thursday) from 11 am to 3 pm. The nominations can be filed in the offices of concerned offices of BDPOs.
The scrutiny of nomination papers is scheduled for Friday, July 18, 2025, with the last date for withdrawal of nominations set for Saturday, July 19, 2025. Voting will take place on Sunday, July 27, 2025, from 8 AM to 4 PM, followed by immediate counting of votes at the polling stations.
The entire election process will be completed by Monday, July 28, 2025.
