52nd Earth Day celebration at GNA University

Jalandhar, April 27, 2022: Faculty of Natural Science under the aegis of GNA University organized events on “Earth Day” supported by GU -IIC, under the theme “Invest In Our Planet”. The idea behind this year’s theme is to encourage governments, corporations and private citizens to take concrete steps towards following more sustainable practices and taking more of an active role in the Earth’ s well being.

 GNA university celebrated this event to create more awareness among the students about the environmental issues and how different steps can be taken to protect the environment from these hazardous issues like water pollution, air pollution and extinction of species etc.
 
On this occasion,  ‘Tree Plantation’ in the University premises was done by Mrs Rajni Bector (Padam Shree Awardee), founder of Cremica Enterprises limited and Dr. Ajay Bansal, Registrar Dr. B.R.Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar and an interactive session on the special day  was organized with the student, Mehak Sharma.

Gurdeep Singh Sihra, the Pro-Chancellor remarked, “Such events are special moments that need to be celebrated in the best manner and I appreciate the endeavours of the Faculty to organize it in the best manner.”

Dr. VK Rattan, the Vice-Chancellor expressed, “I happy to see the active participation of the students on special occasions.”
