40 Students of Lyallpur Khalsa College become Civil Warriors

Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar is committed for the overall development of its students. Recently, when the District Administration organized the Capacity Building Course of Civil Defence, Principal Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu welcomed this opportunity and 40 NSS volunteers took the 10 day training and became Civil Defence Warriors.

Jalandhar, February 9, 2026: Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar is committed for the overall development of its students. Recently, when the District Administration organized the Capacity Building Course of Civil Defence, Principal Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu welcomed this opportunity and 40 NSS volunteers took the 10 day training and became Civil Defence Warriors. 
Dr. Sandhu, in his address, said that being a border state it is a highly appreciable program and motivated the volunteers to participate in it with full dedication. He added that the nation can be served by civilians through selfless service during emergencies and natural disasters and the trainees of this program can provide much needed relief work. 
NSS Chief Program Officer Prof. Satpal Singh informed that the volunteers learned about natural disasters, first aid treatment, Fire rescue system, Flood evacuation, preventive & relief work,  Road accident security, CPR through lecture and practical demonstrations. He added that the life saving tricks learnt during this program can save someone's life by providing initial support and relief work. These volunteers were also given track suits, kits and reading material. 
NSS volunteers Devansh, Raghunandan and Pooja, who led the group,  thanked President College Governing Council, Principal and NSS unit for allowing them to be part of such life saving learning activities.
