Jalandhar, September 14, 2015: Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar hosted its 36th Convocation in which His Excellency Sh.Kaptan Singh Solanki, Governor, Punjab, Haryana & Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh delivered the Convocation Address.  The function was presided over by Mrs.Sushma Paul Berlia, Co-promoter & President, Apeejay Stya and Svran Group, Co-Founder and Chancellor Apeejay Stya University and President Apeejay Education Society. Mr. M.P. Singh, Principal Secretary to Governor Punjab and Secretary, Technical Education, Ms. Neelam Kasani,  Principal Secretary to Hon'ble Governor Haryana and Divisional Commisioner Ambala, Mr. Aditya Berlia, Co-Founder & Pro Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University and Sh. Kamal Kishore Yadav, IAS, Commissioner, Jalandhar Division, Jalandhar were some of the important dignitaries present on the occasion.
Dr. Sucharita, Principal of the College welcomed the dignitaries and shared with them the latest achievements and accomplishments of the College. During the function, degrees were conferred on 588 graduates of the 2013-14 batch.  Seven gold medallists of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar who had topped in the session 2014-15 were bestowed with Roll of Honour. Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia in her address to the students urged them to dare to dream and then to follow the dream with focus and dedication.  Sh. Kaptan Singh Solanki, Hon'ble Governor in his address praised the gold medalists and said that it was no surprise that all the gold medalists were girls as he firmly believes that 21st century is the century of women. He said that we in India need to guard ourselves against dilution of moral values. Citing examples from Indian history he stressed on the importance of sound character in nation building. He asked the students to imbibe in themselves 4D's that is discipline, determination, dedication and dynamism.
