22 Faculty, 1 Research Associate and 2 Research Scholars of CU Punjab Featured in Stanford University’s List of Top 2% Global Scientists

In the 2025 edition of the prestigious Top 2% Global Scientists list compiled by Stanford University, a total of 22 Faculty, 1 Research Associate and 2 Research Scholars from the Central University of Punjab (CU Punjab) have been featured in the Updated Science-wide Author Databases of Standardized Citation Indicators for their exceptional research contributions in 2024.

Bathinda, September 22, 2025: In the 2025 edition of the prestigious Top 2% Global Scientists list compiled by Stanford University, a total of 22 Faculty, 1 Research Associate and 2 Research Scholars from the Central University of Punjab (CU Punjab) have been featured in the Updated Science-wide Author Databases of Standardized Citation Indicators for their exceptional research contributions in 2024.
This global database, prepared by the research group of Prof. John P.A. Ioannidis at Stanford University, USA, and published by Elsevier on September 20, 2025, recognizes top scientists worldwide for their citation impact. The selection is based on scientists ranking among the top 100,000 globally by c-score (with and without self-citations) or being within the top 2% in their respective fields. The list highlights contributions in both recent-year performance and career-long achievements.
This year marks the highest-ever representation of CU Punjab in Stanford’s Top 2% Global Scientists (single-year category), with numbers rising steadily from eight scientist in year 2022, to eleven scientist in 2023, to eighteen scientist in 2024, and now twenty-five scientist in 2025. Additionally, three faculty members have also secured a place in the career-long category.
