11 FIRs registered across different Police Stations in Ludhiana regarding 13 missing girls
In view of certain reports and discussions circulating on social media and other platforms regarding the disappearance of several young girls from different areas of Ludhiana, Police Commissionerate Ludhiana wished to clarify the facts and appeal to the public to refrain from spreading unverified information.
Ludhiana, June 5, 2026: In view of certain reports and discussions circulating on social media and other platforms regarding the disappearance of several young girls from different areas of Ludhiana, Police Commissionerate Ludhiana wished to clarify the facts and appeal to the public to refrain from spreading unverified information.
According to an official information, in recent times, 11 FIRs have been registered across different Police Stations in Ludhiana regarding 13 missing girls. Investigations conducted so far have revealed that the girls reported missing had not been kidnapped, abducted, or forcibly taken away by any individual or organized group. Preliminary inquiries indicate that these girls had left their homes voluntarily due to various personal, family, or individual reasons.
Police teams have been working continuously and diligently to trace all missing persons. As a result of sustained efforts, 4 of the missing girls have already been located and safely reunited with their families. Particularly, in a case related to PS Jamalpur, three missing girls were recovered from their native village in UP, who had left voluntarily due to family reasons. The remaining cases are being actively pursued through technical surveillance, field investigations, and coordination with relevant agencies.
At present, there is no evidence suggesting any organized kidnapping racket or criminal conspiracy behind these incidents. However, all angles continue to be thoroughly examined as part of the ongoing investigation.
Police Commissionerate Ludhiana remain committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all citizens. Dedicated teams are working round the clock, and it is expected that the remaining missing girls will also be traced and reunited with their families at the earliest.
