Remembering the great martyrs who laid down their lives for the country’s freedom, he stated that the freedom we enjoy today is the result of their invaluable sacrifices.

Issru, Khanna (Ludhiana), August 15, 2026: MLA from Payal constituency, Manwinder Singh Giaspura, paid floral tribute to Shaheed Master Karnail Singh Issru at village Issru today. Remembering the great martyrs who laid down their lives for the country’s freedom, he stated that the freedom we enjoy today is the result of their invaluable sacrifices.
MLA Giaspura said it is our moral duty to convey the ideology, dedication, and sacrifices of our martyrs to future generations. He added that for the progress of the nation and Punjab, everyone must follow the path shown by martyrs and work with honesty and a spirit of public welfare.
MLA Giaspura urged the Union Government for the reopening of the Sri Kartarpur Sahib Corridor. He urged that immediate steps be taken to reopen the corridor, keeping in view the religious sentiments of the Sikh community and devotees (sangat).
