Ludhiana, January 31, 2026: The ongoing 7-day ‘Yuva Aapda Mitra’ training camp in Ludhiana reached a critical phase on its fourth day, focusing on technical rescue skills and emergency medical response. The training is being conducted by MGSIPA under the guidance of Course Director Prof. (Dr.) Jog Singh Bhatia.
The sessions today covered essential topics including safety protocols for Thunder and Lightning and the fundamentals of Basic Search and Rescue. A significant portion of the day was dedicated to First Aid, where volunteers were given hands-on training in Lifting and Moving Patients, Bleeding Control, and Wound Care. These skills are vital for stabilizing victims at a disaster site before medical professionals arrive.
The expert training team included Harkirat Singh Arora (Training Coordinator), Manjot Kaur, Sukhchain Singh, Komal, Deenakshi, Pooja, Davinder Kaur, Johnson, Mandeep Kumar, Ranjeet Singh Bhatia, and Saloni Sharma. The instructors emphasized that knowing how to stop a bleed or move a patient without causing further injury is the hallmark of a capable First Responder.
