Yuva Aapda Mitra Training Day 2: Volunteers Educated on Handling Earthquakes, Floods, and Extreme Weather Conditions
The second day of the 7-days ‘Yuva Aapda Mitra’ training at Ludhiana focused on equipping volunteers with the knowledge to tackle specific natural disasters. The training, organized by MGSIPA under the leadership of Course Director Prof. Dr. Jog Singh Bhatia, saw active participation from 500 NSS and NYKS volunteers.
Ludhiana, January 29, 2026: The second day of the 7-days ‘Yuva Aapda Mitra’ training at Ludhiana focused on equipping volunteers with the knowledge to tackle specific natural disasters. The training, organized by MGSIPA under the leadership of Course Director Prof. Dr. Jog Singh Bhatia, saw active participation from 500 NSS and NYKS volunteers.
During the sessions today, the expert instructor team delivered detailed lectures on Earthquakes, Floods, Heat Waves, and Cold Waves. The volunteers were taught primary safety protocols, rescue strategies, and how to manage medical emergencies during extreme temperature fluctuations.
The instructor team from MGSIPA included Harkirat Singh Arora (Training Coordinator), Manjot Kaur, Sukhchain Singh, Komal, Deenakshi, Pooja, Davinder Kaur, Johnson, Mandeep Kumar, and Ranjeet Singh Bhatia. The team emphasized that early intervention and public awareness are key to minimizing casualties during such disasters.
