Rohtak, October 25, 2026: BJP state president Dr Archana Gupta on Sunday called upon young people to actively contribute to nation-building, saying their energy, talent and innovative spirit would be crucial to realising the vision of a developed India by 2047.

Addressing the ‘Viksit Bharat Yuva Convention’ at Madan Lal Dhingra Community Centre in Rohtak, Dr Gupta engaged with young participants in a direct question-and-answer session on electoral reforms, democracy, education, employment, artificial intelligence (AI) and misinformation on social media.

On the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, she said verifying entries of deceased voters, duplicate registrations and people who had permanently shifted was essential for maintaining accurate electoral rolls. She stressed that every eligible citizen must be included in the voters’ list and protected in exercising their franchise.

Responding to questions on employment beyond government jobs, Gupta highlighted the National Education Policy, skill development, startups, research and the expansion of technical institutions as avenues for young people. She urged them to become job creators rather than merely job seekers, citing advances in space, defence manufacturing, mobile production and growing industrial investment in Haryana as emerging opportunities.

On access to education for children from economically weaker families, she referred to free school education, textbooks, mid-day meals, PM SHRI schools, Model Sanskriti schools and the Super 100 programme. She also cited Haryana’s ‘bina parchi, bina kharchi’ recruitment system as an example of merit-based selection, saying it had strengthened young people’s faith in hard work and ability.

Referring to the ‘Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy’ campaign, Gupta said peaceful protests and dissent were democratic rights, but violence, damage to public property and attacks on police personnel could not be justified in the name of a movement. She urged young people to share factual and constructive content on social media and remain vigilant against misleading narratives.

She called on the youth to work towards making India developed, clean, healthy and self-reliant.
