Workshop on POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act

Ivy World School successfully conducted a workshop on the POCSO Act, a crucial legislation aimed at protecting children from sexual abuse and exploitation  . The workshop was designed to educate and sensitize our supporting staff, including drivers, conductors, nannies, mess staff and housekeeping staff, on the importance of creating a safe and secure environment for children.

Jalandhar, July 5, 2025:Ivy World School successfully conducted a workshop on the POCSO Act, a crucial legislation aimed at protecting children from sexual abuse and exploitation  . The workshop was designed to educate and sensitize our supporting staff, including drivers, conductors, nannies, mess staff and housekeeping staff, on the importance of creating a safe and secure environment for children.

The resource persons for the workshop were Manya Mehta and Vidhi Manchanda, who are experts in child rights and protection. They delivered an engaging and informative session, covering key aspects of the POCSO Act, including its provisions, reporting mechanisms, and the role of individuals in preventing child abuse.

The workshop was attended by all supporting staff members, who actively participated in the discussions and showed a keen interest in learning more about child protection. The session aimed to equip the staff with the knowledge and skills necessary to identify and report any instances of child abuse, ensuring the safety and well-being of children in our care.

The President, K K Vasal, The Chairman, Sanjeev Kumar Vasal, The Vice President, Ena Vasal, The CEO, Raghav Vasal, and The Director, Aditi Vasal mentioned that the workshop was a valuable initiative in our ongoing efforts to create a child-safe environment and promote a culture of protection and respect. The Director Principal  thanked everyone who participated in the workshops, acknowledging the collective effort in prioritizing child safety and education. She appreciated the efforts of Mehta and Manchanda in making the workshop a success and look forward to continuing our work in this area.
