The Department of Public Administration, Panjab University, Chandigarh, today organised a one-day workshop on “Leadership and Emotional Intelligence” in the Seminar Room of the Department. Around 50 students and research scholars actively participated in the workshop.

Chandigarh, 26 February 2026: The Department of Public Administration, Panjab University, Chandigarh, today organised a one-day workshop on “Leadership and Emotional Intelligence” in the Seminar Room of the Department. Around 50 students and research scholars actively participated in the workshop.
Sanjoli Chimni Pande, Founder of Mind and Heart Foundation, conducted two engaging sessions on “Mindset Mechanics” and “Self-Leadership: Your Inner Compass.” She explained the Think–Feel–Act cycle and the role of Situation–Reaction–Response in shaping behavior and decision-making. Through interactive activities such as the Values Compass Exercise, thought reframing exercises, and empathy-based role plays, participants gained deeper insights into self-awareness, emotional resilience, and the importance of core values in effective leadership and personal growth.
The concluding session was delivered by former IAS and motivational speaker Vivek Atray on “Emotional Intelligence for Effective Leadership.” Drawing from his vast experience in public service and youth mentorship, he highlighted the importance of empathy, emotional regulation, and interpersonal understanding in leadership. He emphasised that effective leadership requires not only competence but also emotional intelligence to inspire and positively influence others.
The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation and meaningful engagement from the attendees.
