Workshop on ‘Innovative Techniques for Sustainable Fashion’

Jalandhar, June 16, 2023: PG Department of Fashion Designing organised a Workshop on ‘Innovative techniques for Sustainable Fashion’. An expert from Rajasthan demonstrated the technique of cut pile which is a crafting technique that has been practiced for several hundred years. This unique technique of rug hooking (or needle punching) can be used to create beautiful pieces of art for the home as well clothing. 

The expert showed the technique of punching the needle and presented different pieces of wall art and decorative carpets. Students of B.Sc. B.Voc. and M.Sc. Fashion Designing learnt well through the workshop and prepared beautiful pieces of art. 

President Naresh Kumar Budhia, Senior Vice President Vinod Dada, other members of the managing committee and Principal Prof.(Dr.) Pooja Prashar applauded the efforts of the department for successfully organising the workshop.
